Atmosphere

  • Atmosphere is the layer of air surrounding the earth.

Importance of Air:-

  • It protects us from ultraviolet rays of the sun which may cause skin cancer or other health problems.
  • Ozone layer of atmosphere does not allow UV rays to penetrate through atmosphere.
  • It traps the heat of the sun and maintains the earth’s temperature.
  • It protects the earth from the meteors because of the frictional force that they burn in the mid-air.
  • It brings weather changes also.
