Introduction
We all know that a square is a quadrilateral with all the 4 sides equal and all 4 angles equal to 90 degree.
Area of square = side * side
AB = BC= CD= DA= 1cm
Hence area of ABCD = 1 *1 = 1 cm. sq.
If we make a bigger square of side = 3cm,
Area of square PQRS = 3 *3= 9cms.
In a square of side = 5 cms,
Area of square = 5 * 5 = 25 cm. sq.
All the numbers i.e. 1, 9, 25 and so on are called squares.
